So, I finanlly decided to save the problem and get a wireless DSL router to replace my Duron as gatway. It just too much trouble to get the SMC card to work. So, I got a SMC Barricade g. It has all the NAT and firewall functions over Wifi and 10/100 Ethernet.

Back then Slackware is king, which consists of 30 1.44Mb floppy disks.

I had a 386 w/ 8 MB of RAM, 20Mb HDD, video card w/ 128k of memory, and 12.2k modem. It is cool back than, I still have the motherboard at home.

I never get a copy of slackware until later.... but then Redhat is on the raise.
